I’m lying in bed, hopped up on advil, snuggled into Misty right now.
Yesterday didn’t go exactly to plan. We went skiing and I was going to try snowboarding. It was awesome having Misty to myself (no kids with us yesterday) because s/he is an excellent ski instructor. S/he taught me and all my kids how to ski – and I just learned last year. I still have a ways to go though.
But having her all to myself meant 1 on 1 tutoring (and I want to be a better skier), and before long we were doing much more challenging runs. I wanted to get in a little skiing before we switched to snowboarding. Welp, this is where things took a sharp left.
I wiped out hard, got the wind knocked out of me, my knee and ski pole hitting my ribs hard. Once I caught my breath there was a lot of swearing. I skied 2 more runs, until it was just too painful and we called it a day.
I’m hoping whatever happened to my left side ribs heals up by next week, so I can try again. Fortune favours the brave. 🙂
