Stormé DeLarverie was a legendary black mixed butch lesbian. Her drag performances, strong sense of community protection, and courageous fight against inhumane cops lit the flame to unite the queer community of New York – on the night of June 28, 1969, the 3 night battle led directly to the victory of decriminalization of homosexuality.
