There are what are called “Regional Burns” that are festivals associated with Burning Man, and there is one in British Columbia. It’s called Burn In the Forest. Probably a terrible name in light of the last few summers… but anyway! It was a fabulous time even though it was COLD, and we were unprepared for the chilliness. I think we had on all our clothes in these pictures.
Someone had a photo booth, so we *had* to do that! There was also this strange box that you went into, that had holes all over it, and people could stick their hands in and touch and fondle you. It was quite something. Of course Misty could (and probably would have) stayed in there all night if there wasn’t a line up of the curious wanting to try it out.
The forest was done up into different night clubs all over, one I remember was all aglow in florescent paints. And there was an area you could paint yourself up too (which we did). We danced until the sun peaked over the mountains, it was the best way to keep warm and be social. The we went back to our Kandy bus and kept warm other ways.
