In the spirit of posting personal things (@drcouts I agree, it is more interesting than just reblogging things), here is a video I took while I was riding the subway in NYC the summer of 2013. I went there on a solo vacation to celebrate my independence (almost divorced and getting my life on track) and spent the entire week in museums and art galleries. Just me.

Though I did meet a tumblr friend for dinner one of the 6 nights I was there! I used to call him “The worlds Tallest Ninja”. He was going through a divorce too, and we bonded over that.
He has since fallen away from tumblr, gotten married and moved to the west coast.

I just loved wandering around, taking the subway and walking everywhere. I must have had a crazy smile on my face the entire trip.
