Surprising myself!

Jan 18, 2022 – Week 2, Day 2

So yesterday I ran 17 minutes without stopping. Which seems like nothing considering what I used to run, But it felt really big. I was SO pleased with myself. AND I felt great! I even got a whiff of that runners high that I love so much.

I opened my planner that I got from Alim, my trainer, and saw that my work out for today was supposed to be 30 minutes of running. He said that I could walk if needed, but in my mind I just saw 30 MINUTES OF RUNNING.

And that’s what I fucking did. No walking. Sure I wasn’t winning any races for pace, but the phycological game of “no walking” was in full swing. It was great!!!! Some moments were harder, but it was it was just soooooo… rewarding!! Energizing!! Fun!!

My playlist had me smiling like a crazy person! 🙂

Little known fact about me, I won the California State Championship for Hula Dancing (with my dance troupe) when I was 13. 🙂

Oh, and on a food note, I’ve been consistent in keeping my calories around 1300. And eating whole foods, with very little processing. So YAY! I haven’t been on a scale since I started (it has run out of batteries and I keep forgetting to get new ones) but I am feeling so good, I know I’m moving in the right direction!
