#7 I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas by Gayla Peevey

I usually make Swedish Gingerbread – pepparkakor. My kids love it. Of course we have lots of cookie cutters, but our favourite is a little hippopotamus. I normally ice it with just a little holly around it’s neck.

My mum’s family is Swedish, so we have quite a few Swedish traditions around the holidays. Both of my brothers are tall blondes. I completely got ripped off.
