What is it about women doing the boy jobs that is just so damn sexy? A lady who can get it done, with style and panache. Who looks and finds adventure, in the big and little things. Whether she is Rosie the Riviter at work by day, and fort building laundry goddess by night.

My grandmother was one of these girls in Detroit. She built bombers for the war efforts during WWII. She was engaged to a navy pilot whose plane was shot down during the war. She later met my grandfather, a pianist and musician and got married. Her life was one giant, wonderful story, and I hope that I can be half of the woman that she was.
